STORY ‘‘THE LAST YEAR’’

It all started the moment a young boy was captivated by a dream.

His name: Kento Mori.

As a child, it wasn’t just the music of Michael Jackson that stole his heart—it was the spark of something far greater.

A year later, when Kento first saw Michael’s dance on screen, it wasn’t mere admiration—it was a shock that coursed through his entire being. The dance, the music, the sheer magic that radiated from the stage—Michael Jackson was no longer just a superstar. For Kento, he became a symbol of destiny, a beacon of what he himself could one day become.

With that unwavering determination, Kento embarked on the path of dance, crossing the ocean to America in pursuit of his dreams. Step by step, he gave everything, reaching toward a stage that once seemed out of reach.

Then, in 2008, fate finally smiled upon him.

Chosen from thousands, Kento was selected as a featured dancer for Madonna’s world tour, "Sticky & Sweet." His name echoed around the globe, his electrifying performances captivating audiences in an instant, propelling him to the pinnacle of the dance world. But for Kento, this was not the end—his true dream lay even further ahead.

In 2009, Michael Jackson announced his final tour, "This Is It." The moment Kento had envisioned since childhood had arrived. The opportunity to dance alongside his lifelong idol was finally within reach. He poured his heart and soul into the audition, competing with the best dancers from around the world, and his performance caught Michael’s eye. The dream was on the verge of becoming reality.
